Doors S3 to 90

Hellp people, my first thread...jumps with excitment

Do S3 front doors fit onto 1980's defender 90's?

Are there any mod's needed to get them to fit? I.e locks, hinges or door seals etc...

as far as i know the doors of the SIII and 90 are interchangable. however the door catch might be different. do check that out. if not just buy the catch. door seals are the same, still mounted on the frame.

i have just put series 3 doors on to my 1989 90. all hinges etc line up but the catches for the series doors are about 2 inches lower and you may need to make a gap in the door seal for the catch to pass. this is with me using all series 3 parts. not sure the difference if you use military 90/110 parts.

Just put series doors on my 90 in replacment for my old one piece doors. The hinges are the same and they bolt straight on. The diffrent is the latch and strickers. Idealy you need to fit the anti burst type of latch assembly. in doing this the holes are already in the bulkhead. If you are fitting the earlier type. (non antiburst) like me. You have to move the stricker assembly outwards by around a 1". just means drilling 2 holes to fit.

I would like to fit anti burst door lock assemblies if anyone has some. drop us a line.

Also got a pair of one piece doors which might be of some use to some one. the frames are shot and the drivers door skin has a 4" tair in it but might be of use to some one.
