Door open warning

hi, I had purchased an L322 that has problems which can be fixed, but the only thing I can't get round is the door open warning. All doors, boot and bonnet are shut, I don’t know where to start looking to try to fix this, my key has become unlinked to the car, but I can’t sync it back up due to the door issue, when I had P38A’s, I had diagnostic equipment that could tell me live info and I would have been able to find out that way, but as this is my first L322, I have no diagnostic software for the job. Please can someone help advise me how to get this fixed, I’ve asked this on Range Rover/Land Rover pages on FB, but they have never given me a straight answer.

May seem rather low tech but Open and slam all the doors, tailgates and bonnet a couple of times.

Check the latches themselves to make sure they aren't loose.

Oh and invest in an ALLCOMS or Gap IID, best to check the system for faults, as they say diag is the way with the L322, that should tell you which latch is defective/faulting.

And battery voltage, L322's hate even a slightly low battery.

Yes, I slammed all doors, bonnet and boot, hubby checked door latches, he can’t figure it out. Have you a link for this diagnostic system? As the one I got is the icarsoft diagnostic

Door status I believe is via the Door Latch itself - there are microswitches contained in the latch mechanism to tell the vehicle if it is open or closed, locked or unlocked etc.

The Front doors go through a Door Outstation or ECU but the rear doors are hardwired to the BCU (Body Control Unit)....

Check connections from the latches to the Outstations and then back to the BCU first.

EDIT: the wiring from the Outstaions to the BCU is via the Pbus (one of the many databuses on the system)

Got a feeling AllComms does some years and Storey Wilson's 4Dcan software does others?

Bear in mind if you buy gap iid tool, it's 399 plus you will need to pay about 60 quid import duty before courier will release it

Blackbox Solutions have a new Android based diagnostic system, runs as an app on phones and tablets I believe. I don't know what it covers or the cost as I cannot access the BBS site on my ancient computer.

Rovacome IQ? Says most canbus vehicles but only has L322 listed after 2010.

Can currently pick up the Bluetooth gap iid version for £405

On Gap site it is £399 but the couriers want 60 quid in import duty before they release it as it comes from Canada. Is there somewhere else you can buy it without this?

Maybe true if you buy direct, but you can buy from local stockists (Bell Auto Services in the UK) for less money and no import duty.
