Door locks

Well in to my first project 90, today its doors, I'm replacing the old rotten items with good replacements, old doors (1990) had the small locks in the handle, the new doors, have bigger locks in the handles, when I bought them was told they are from an 04 defender, they came without any keys,so thinking I just change the locks, my problem is the price of the newer locks? Hunting on the web the "up to 02" locks Smaller type are very cheap, but after then they seem very expensive? Looking at the locks side by side the only difference is the obvious size, after 02 are much larger, any one else had this problem, any ideas ? Thanks in advance

If you can get the lock out a good locksmith should be able to cut keys to suit them. Should be a lot cheaper than buying new locks.

Why the larger locks are so much more money I don't understand either, I was quoted £70 for 1 barrel and 2 keys. I have a broken key in mine, so I might remove it from the door and fish the key out.
