Door locks

DHSE

My door locks keep "pulsing" when I drive. Every few miles, "clunk clunk"! Really annoying. I thought it was worse when the roof was open, but could be imagining that!

Tricky to trace?

Yes!!
- but start with the tailgate mechanism looking for a broken spring inside the button. That seems to be the 'favourite' fault but I found my problem in the passenger door lock and cured it with a strip, clean and re-grease.

Is it just me or does that sound rude?

Also look for corrosion in the connector to the tailgate button.

Mine does the same, just the drivers side though... And the tailgate, I'll check the connections and grease the locks this weekend then!

hi, easy fix remove trim off tailgate take connector off .spray with electrical contact spray NOT WD40 . remove 4 parts, clean all and remove crap off spring with wirewool ,grease spring with Vaseline or similar + button etc reconnect it all and only takes 10 minutes and all should be fine !!!!!!! regards mozz did mine 2 months since and no probs ,,

Thanks guys, great advice. Will start at the tailgate then, will attack the drivers door mechanism.
