Door handles

The guy that had my P38 before me swapped the external black door handles for chrome ones.
I'm not a big lover of chrome and would like to try and pick up a set of the original handles and swap them back.
Is there potentially and issue with the drivers door handle and the BECM?

shouldnt affect the BECM if your only swapping the door external door handle you only disconnect the rod that connect the door handle to the latch and unbolt the handle and it just pulls out the door not a big job

Are you sure the handle was changed? Maybe it is just a chrome cover glued on the handle. You can find such covers on ebay

Genius. Absolutely Genius. Read your suggestion last night NicP38 but it was a bit to late to go out mucking about in the dark.
Within 5 minutes of being home tonight I had all the covers off the handles. I gave the handles a quick going over with some back to black, absolutely delighted with life.

Dave,
Are they the metal covers or the plastic ones.
I've got them on mine & quite like them, but have one missing. So if it's the metal ones, you don't fancy flogging them do you.

Hi Paul,
I'm afraid there the plastic versions. Two out of the four sets came off undamaged, if they are any use to you let me know.

The metal ones don't look too bad, but the plastic ones look cheap & nasty IMO. I don't blame you for getting rid.
