does anyone know of the existance of a quick defrost switch for a freelander

It is one that should when pressed turn on the blower at full and the air con compresser and send all the air to the windscreen to demist it ASAP

I want to know if one is available to wire into the circuit so that I can disable the activation of the compressser whenever the airflow is pointing to the screen as is standard on my freeby

or are there any other switches that could go next to the heated rear screen button that look like a screeen thing

If you just want the switch, then YES... the later (ford) facelifted have a heated front screen option and a switch on the dash is just like that.

If you want the switch to do what you're suggesting, then that might take time, patience, creativity, soldering iron and some imagination.

off topic alittle, but is there a company that sells extra switches for landrover? for instance walk into a ford garage and ask for a blank switch for a transit and they usually ask if your sure you want it blank, then they give you about 10 pages of different buttons.

i just want a landrover one for my dash that has a beacon symbol, and one with a generic electric symbol.

Vehicle wiring products will sell you a sheet of stickers for yer switches. they might even have the swirch yer want.
