Hi Guys

Ive been offered a job as maintenance electrician at lode lane on the new range rover production line. I would be working on the robots etc..

Im really excited about it but was just wondering what landrover was like as a company to work for??:scratching_chin:

Any experiences good or bad are welcome.

Cheers

Jack

I don't know what the manufacturing side of land rover is like but a friend used to work at a land rover franchised dealer and there was nothing but good said about the job.

I know of people at cosworth who smuggled a v10 out over 3 years:D

But sure you will have options buying wise in the future

Sounds like an Urban Legend to me haha... Like that Johnny Cash song about the '49, '50, '51, '52, '53, '54, '55 automobile. Can't remember the name

I know of a true story at BAe Weybridge of a guy who built a caravan out of loft plate over a couple of years - even had it sprayed there - then just drove it out.
I had a complete engine stripped, shot peined, lightened, balanced and rebuilt there..

All i will say is they didnt succeed, the block was cracked, but it makes an awesome coffee table with lil leds inside and glass on top ;)

Dont worry, cosworth now know about it and they paid some cash for it. Actually was an aston martin engine that cosworth were making at the time. Has a badge on it

I applied for that job a couple of weeks ago, never heard anything so suppose I wasn't successful...

Didnt really like the idea of shift working for £29k though tbh, essentially a pay cut from what I'm on now but probably great for others...
