Quick question

I am about to refit a vcu which should work. I have my old propshaft still with the VCU which was removed by the former owners. But I think the marking on the car will not be there anymore... after one year.

the VCU I bought still has the back propshaft on but not the front one.

now I was reading things about these things being balanced....

is this thru and do I need to let this to be done????

thanks
chris

Consensus seems to be that the individual items are balanced when manufactured and do not need balancing when assembling onto the vehicle.
Just mix & match the best parts should be ok.
Assumes that you are using matching bolts etc. Fitting a wheel nut to one of the four mounting bolts could have a bad effect.
Got in while I waz typin Freelance.

thanks still found all orginal bolds etc in a plastic bag in the car so that should be OK.

cant wait to 4wd the car after a year especially with all the snow we have here right now/.

hope the IRD still works good, but can find taht only out when I got all mounted I geuss. Former owner said that that all was still working when he asked a garage to take it off as the VCU had gone after he just had a $$$ repair of headgasket.

thanks again

chris
