Hi all, I'm new to land rovers and this forum (obviously) so thought I'd start with what must be a common issue on my 1998 Disco.

My AC blows cold and works at various speeds, however you require the touch of an artist to get the switch to activate. E.g. It can be selected to #4 fan speed and all of a sudden stop blowing. I then have to fiddle with the switch before it kicks back in.

Rather than replacing the whole switch unit, are there any quick hacks to make the connections more solid?

hi, welcome

i've always found if a switch is messing around i've never taken the risk and just replaced it , in my early days of land rover ownership i tried to take switches apart with not much success , apart from many bits on the kitchen table , lol

thats my own personal view, just don't want any cause of something shorting out
