do you have to have wheel guards on trailer wheels

Yes all trailers where the wheels stick out wider than the body of the trailer need to have guards fitted. By Law:)
 
course you need them but it doesnt state what they have to be made from wich in the past ive made them from cut barrell bottoms ( plastic of course) cut car tyres and even plywood and never been bothered by the plod

but i have towed a trailer with the diddy 8" wheels at 50mph in the wet and yer should have seen the spray come off the fekkers ( it looked like a cathrine wheel firework )
