A seatbelt warning. Iv noticed and just remembered that when i turn my key bottom left corner theres a seatbelt light it goes away after a couple of seconds (i dont use a belt anyway) is it ment to be there or is it broken? Just curious

Seat belt lamp comes on as a reminder then goes out. Only NAS versions have belt engagement and occupation switches as far as i am aware.

it would be bizaare to have a seatbelt warning chime on a 4x4.. off road use would require constant looking out the window for self spotting and a chime or warning light would be beyond annoying !

Would that be the little white plug behind the window switch-pack? Wondered what that was for. I kind of assumed it was for the sunroof (I don't have a sunroof).

That plug is for the little footwell light in the rear of the centre consol under the vent's. The posh ones have it.

If you had seat belt switches there would be a twin cable coming from seat belt receptacle with a white plug on it. That would be plugged into a socket coming out from under carpet. Should be visible below seat belt receptacle. Wire it plugs into goes direct to BECM.

Mine has a sunshine roof and that little white plug is there mine doesn't connect to owt tho

For the posh ones with rear footwell lights and the seatbelt light is only ment to self check the bulb in the uk think im upto date

Mine has this little light, that's how I know what this wire is for. I think they are only on the ones with the leather bound centre consol. They do look good at night. If you add up all the interior lights 2x map and 2x normal in the rear 2x map and 1 normal in the front 1 x light in the bottom of each door 2 x lights in front footwells and 1x in rear footwell and boot light. Total 15 interior lights. I think that takes some beating. Oh forgot the two lights on the sunvisor vanity mirror.

You should have at least 8 lights if you include the boot light. 2 x rear 1 x front 2x map in front 2 x front door bottoms and boot. All Rangies had this at least.

I cant the catch is broken it just pops back out if i hook belt round handbrake gator it just puts break warning light on. If i sit on it it hurts my arse
