Do I need spacers

I'm not sure all I know is they are off a 2004 with 5mm spacers but the guy said they may fit mine without so I assume they are off a facelift.

If not ill just get spacers

I'm just curious as to why he reckons they'll fit without spacers but he's gone and bought 5mm spacers for it. If he wanted spacers for the sake of having them surely he'd have gone for bigger than 5mm as you'll not even really notice the difference.

I don't know someone else on here rekons they'll fit too, I have no idea hence I asked the question.

I don't know if there was a reason he had the spacers in there other than the wheels ?

Soz to jump in.

On the subject of wheels, I have a LR FL TD4 Series 1 with 15" alloys standard. What size can I go up to and do I need spacers for larger wheels? I was hoping to go up to say 16", 17" or 18" or as big as possible. Cheers...

If you stick with original LR wheels you won't need spacers. You can fit the 18" wheels that came with the Sport models if you so wish

Thanks, for the reply. Another question, does the later LR FR wheels fit as there are a few on FLEABAY and a lot for the FR 2 etc. Will these fit? Can I put FR 2 wheels on a FR 1? And is 18" maximum?

No you can't fit FL2 wheels to a FL1, different PCD, widths, offsets. Anything that was produced for the FL1 up to 2006 will fit (barring early wheels that don't fit later cars)

Personally I wouldn't go over 18, not if you want proper tyres anyway
