Just about to lift the heads off my thor p38 4.0. Loosing a little water and missing a little first thing so decided to take a look under the heads as its done 120k. Noticed before the heads came off that not good circulation around the heater pipes that go through the bulkhead at tickover. O.k when reved.
Going to do a good flush. Does the pump loose its punch as its 10 years old now but no loss of coolant around it and tight.

are these £26 new pumps any good ?

mine was the same changed water pump n all seems fine, touch wood, but since chaning pump have noticed that the heater inlet and outlet pipes are leaking, where they have been cut for the lpg system.. but doesnt seem rough first thing anymore..my pump is a £50 one.

i would go for the best you can afford and be carefull undoing the bolts on the right hand side of the pump, mine snapped.
