I wouldn't say you HAVE to, but if you do it will help!

The rubber donut on the 300 is prone to wear on a lift due to the angles, but equally so is the UJ on a 200 prop unless you get a wide angle one.

The runner donut is much easier to change in the field if you carry a spare, unless you have a cice with you the UJ on a 200 is difficult in the field.

From the 200 you want the diff flange and the spacer behind it as well as the prop.

I did a 2" lift on my 95 V8 Disco a couple of months back and i havent changed my propshafts.

Essentially its fine but when i take my foot off the go pedal i get a bit of a rattle from the them. Im gonna try changing the rubber doughnuts and see if this makes a difference but my mate did the exact same lift on his 300 tdi and it has had no problems at all.

I probably will get the wide angle shafts eventually but i have bigger things to spend on at the mo!

I lifted my 97 disco, about a year ao no sign of doughnut giving up yet done a fair few miles as well, road and off road, so the choice is yours.

I would see how it goes, Have you thought that the noise was there but due to the lift your now been looking for it, before you never noticed it. or the thing could have been knackered but you now just pushed it over the edge.....
