Yes. No. Maybe. Depends on a lot really. I'd advise reading up and understanding all of the suspension components and what they do. And importantly why they do it.

Chances are you'll easily be able to answer your own question.

Basically I'm trying to say it would be worthwhile trying to find the answer on your own first. :)
 
The dislocation cones on my disco are attatched to the axle,is this correct..?
I've seen them done both ways, i.e. attached to the spring top mount or the axle spring seat, either is works so long as the end without the dislocation cone is clamped/fixed in its seat. Personal preference for me would be the cone fitted to the chassis spring seat, this is the one I have had the most trouble keeping the spring in.
