Discovery transfer case

Good day all... I have a discovery 2 td5 that's had a conversion done to 300tdi,the engine is now 300 as is the transmission... The transfer case however is the original from the discovery 2... All the wiring is complete with the exception of the speed sensor. Can I install a discovery 1 speed sensor onto the discovery 2 transfer case.

The instrument panel was also changed... And as far as my understanding... there is a difference in the input... Can the pulse from the wheel speed sensor work on the discovery 1 instrument panel?

I doubt it should have kept the original D2 panel.

But the original panel couldn't take the signal from the 300tdi sensors not so?
