Right boys and girls

I'm looking on autotrader and have found a 200tdi for £995 so as I usually do I have a look at the cost of insurance and write down the quotes.
But something is wrong here one site says it's a J reg Disco "confused.com" and everywhere else I have tried says it's a Saab how can this be possible.

I thought every Reg plate was individual to the car.. How does this work then.:confused:
 
every registration is unique to a vehicle and can only be used on another when transferred like a private reg. if you go on the dvla website and go to the section for online tax if you scroll down the page you will see a link for the MID.if you click on the link you can check what the reg actually belongs to.the link itself is to tell you whether the vehicle is insured but it does tell you what the actual vehicle is.

You can check to see when the tax is due and if it's mot'd as well.
 
hpi well worth its money in the long run £20 on top of £1000 is nothing and there are cheeper ones out there my guess is that it one time had a personal reg number and the reg given when it was removed was off the saab

gets worse checked the MID and it says its a saab
checked the one where you txt it to a sms thingy and it says its a disco??????????
