Discovery II rubbish in fuel tank!

Hi, when i go off roading in my disco and I go up a steep incline it starts to cut out and run ruff until I get it on the flat and it's fine. I think it maybe rubbish in the fuel tank if so is there a way to get it out of there? Or is it another problem?
