Help on towing re: the electrics. electrical settings for towing. Apparently the settings have to be adjusted for towing a caravan - it appears I have been towing a caravan but my electrical settings were set up for a trailer only therefore The caravan battery was not being charged up. I presumed I had a problem with the battery so replaced it. then it was suggested I get a booster for the new battery. So way down the line and £600.00 worse off I now get told the settings were wrong. Has anyone else had similar problems?

Never heard of settings before. What age disco? You got a black and grey socket?

Normally when towing a caravan you would have two sockets, the first one is for the external road lighting, the second (grey one) is for the internal electrical circuit of the 'van, including battery charging.
