Hi Guys

Im going to look at a Disco 3 v8 with 90000 miles, does anyone on here have any experience with these? Im aware of the MPG, my reasoning behind looking to the v8 is no Turbo etc to go wrong. Would anyone care to educate me?

A business acquaintance of mine had on for four years without any issues with the V8 engine, but it was serviced by the main dealer, after two years or so the vehicle started to have the usual D3 issues, due to the business mileage no doubt, such hand brake which was ever fixed, steering, bushes and dampers and in the fourth year it seem seemed to be always in the garage when I saw him every couple of months.
But he may have purchased a D4 if it had a V8 engine but it didn’t so he now has a Jag. F Pace which I’ve been allowed to drive... once:cool:

Paul what do you think the mpg will be for your use?

Take a torch and have a really good look at the inner sill where it meets the outer sill, some are getting crusty.

Cheers for the advice.Regarding MPG. Im presuming anything from 13-15mpg for tinkering around town to 18mpg on a run. Do you think different?

Nope thats exactly what I would say it was going to be, maybe less around town when the weathers cold.

I asked as a few people on the D3 forum reckon they get the same mpg as the diesels, 20 town /25/28mpg on a run and thats why they bought the petrol and they really really believe it!
