I have a 2005 Discovery 3 with 70k miles which has developed a noise which feels like the wheels rubbing/grinding at full lock / low speed. My local garage put the car on ramps and confirmed nothing is actually touching.
I was dispatched to my local Land Rover dealer who's top mechanic drove it. scratched his head, said he'd never seen a problem like it before and that it could be a diff problem. He wasn't more specific. The next scheduled event is a sonic/ audio test of the chassis to see/ hear where the problem is.
They seem very unsure and I can sense large diagnostic bills ahead whilst they try and find out what is wrong at 100 quid an hour plus vat.
Anybody out there come across these symptoms before?
Thanks
Mike
