Discovery 3 brake sensor

Hi all, new here and new to landrovers, i am mad I just bought two for my sins....

I have had new brake pads front and rear on the Disco 3 but the info system tells me check pads and the light is on. Does it need to go to a main dealer to be turned off?

not sure about the switching off of your lights / error, but what i do know is I was lucky enough to go to a Land Rover Experience day, where I drove a brand new Disco 3 with 4K miles on the clock and guess what, it had brake warning lights, the guy had to reassure us that despite the lights the car was perfectly safe and that it was a common fault on all Disco 3's.

You usually need to change the sensors as well as the pads.
