Hi

I'm thinking of buying a Disco 3 but as it is a new model, does anyone out there know of any problems the car has? I've heard that there are some electrical issues...

Thanks

Well theres eletrical issues with all makes of cars so dont be put off,the 2 main problems that arise are handbrake/park distance control/gear selection on dash fault manuals only on that fault and air suspension fault.
1. the first fault is mainly due to the xy switch on top off the gearbox it does not reconise the correct gear and then causes amber light on park brake to flash on, also on extreme cases the pdc will not work as it does not think reverse gear has been selected, quite an easy fix just annoying for customers.
2.the air suspension can fault due to water ingress into blue connector in n/s front wing but easily fixed, have also seen 2 compressors malfunctioned in service.
dont let this put you off though the auto box is a far better car to drive anyway to many gear changes on the manual.
the only other thing is that the engine can use upto 1 litre of oil every 1000 miles so keep an eye on this,it apparently only uses this much oil while running in about 6 months, hope this helps tiga
