Discovery 200tdi immobiliser fault

I'm sure this must have been covered on here before, but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for...

This morning when I went to start up the Disco, all lights came on as usual, then after the glow plug light went out and I turned the key for the starter, I just got a solenoid sounding click, but nothing more.

This happened once before and I was able to tow-start it; it started and ran fine, never gave any problems till today. Now I haven't got anything to try towing it with (or anybody near by to try pushing), so I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do.

Is there an easy way to bypass the immobiliser? Is there any way to test where the problem is?

Are u sure that's not the solenoid or the starter itself???......it sounds exactly lyke a solenoid/starter failure, quite common....befor u try to bypass the immo try to bypass the solenoid/ starter first
