Hi everyone please could anyone help me?, i have a disco 2 4.0 V8, the engine warning light has come on,2 codes have come on they read 80 2nd air bank 1,and 208 2nd air bank 2,????????? if anyone knows these codes or what they mean it would much apprieciated,thanks,Howard

What a sh*t reader did they use that's so vague? ...and if they are mechanics and didnt know go to somebody who really know his job...anyway a real code looks like this

Secondary air injection (AIR) system, bank 1 - malfunction = Wiring, control valve, air pump, ECM

Secondary air injection (AIR) system, bank 2 - malfunction = Wiring, control valve, air pump, ECM

but there are lots of codes with bank 1 and 2 and if i presume that the reader shows only the number after the P2 or 0 EOBD description it might be

P2080 Exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor 1, bank 1 - range/performance = Wiring, EGT sensor

P0080 Exhaust valve control solenoid, bank 1 - circuit high = wiring short to positive, exhaust valve control solenoid, ECM

P2208 Nitrogen oxides (NOx) sensor, bank 1, heater sense circuit -malfunction = Wiring, NOx sensor

..or god knows what else

U better read the codes with a performant tester
