Hello all
I have looked about but found no answers
Last weekend while the Mrs was driving she needed to brake sharply, this put the three amigos on.
When I got home to have a look the rear drivers brake carrier had ceased on so put the 3 a's down to that.
Today it was pointed out that the brake lights are not working.
Fuse good, bulbs good and I have tested switch with multimeter this seems ok.
Looking through LR workshop manual is shows a brake light relay but not its location.
Any ideas????
Also the multiplug on the switch has 3 wires do you know what colour is what so I can test?

Hi, that so called "brake lamps relay" has nothing to do with the lights, it's for other puspose forget about it cos it's built into the fusebox, not replaceable, first suspect is the switch, it has two contacts, a NC and NO one, you must test the NO to close with pedal depressed, first try an adjustment by depressing the pedal to the floor and pull the switch's plunger as much as you can, the NO contact is between the green/orange and green/purple wires

ALL SORTED NOW !!!
Thanks for that reply.

So although the bulbs were not visually blown all three were knackered!
Replaced all bulbs and serviced the switch and all seems ok.
When I took the switch apart one terminal was bent so maybe it kept the lights on and wore the bulbs out???
Only time will tell, I will replace the switch as it has been disturbed.
