No, te central locking has nothing to do with the alarm settings, it should work either way, if the RF test was passed and the fob is not detected then the problem might be the fob even if the led comes on

I’ve redone the rf test and it’s not picking up a signal now... I’ve got a couple of keys 1 brand new and it’s not picking up any signal but the receiver is new... not sure why it won’t accept it now

Then you might be unlucky enough to be a wiring issue with an intermittent bad contact and you have to be electrical genius to find that
