Yes the same message one hawkeye before and after I have tested hawkeye on my d3 and I can read codes etc just wont connect to my d2

If you check the connector view in the electrical library there's the colour code near each pin in the table and the codes are described in the introduction section, earth is aways black and for example C0660 - 1 is GU(green/blue trace)... and so on, you have to learn to work with these docs if you want to DIY

Ok thanks its all new to me

That's it, you'll get it cos it's not so complicated, for example pin 3 LGW is light green/white ... read the introduction section

You are doing something wrong then, the other pins are matching the colours as in the table ? if not you are looking to the wrong connector

No, just that the connector might not be coloured but the wires and pinout is the same for all there as the BCUs are not year dependant

then measure with negative probe to body(earth)... if it's different measure resistance across the black wire and body, is your battery weak ?

Then charge your battery over night or work with charger connected and try again with hawkeye with fully charged battery cos the BCU needs at least 11.5V to work well and if still no joy measure voltage at the OBD port across pin 16 P wire and both black wires(pins 4 - 5). I'm leaving you now cos it's already 2021 here but i'm telling you that as long as the BCU has everything it needs and the K line has continuity there's no reason for communication failure so concentrate and double check everything you did cos as you missed something with C0660 maybe you did it somewhere else too. Good luck and happy new year, we'll speak again tomorrow.

Hi happy new year I have double checked
I have continuity to bcu and ecm
11.5 volts from pin 16 to earths on obd
And 11. Volts on bcm plug

Hi, and still the same message with hawkeye ? did you cut the old wire to BCU ? if yes, unplug the ECM and see if you have comms then with the BCU...at this point all i can think is that the ECM or one of the other ECUs has a problem and it disturbs the D-link.
