Hey,

So my D2 has a fog light and spot light switch on the guage surround, behind the steering wheel.

Both work fine but the only thing thats slightly annoying is they both 'reset' after turning off the ignition, there anyway to change this as it stands or is it a case of a new switch?

The switch is just the means of telling an ECU to switch on a specific circuit, you will also find that there are a few other momentary-switched circuits other than lighting.
Depending on electrical skills you could hard wire as necessary.

Fog lights should be like this, not good to force on. They shoul donly be lit when foggy.

As to spots. Not sure but you can use your own wiring and Defender heated seat switches and a relay.

Yeah true, fog one doesnt bother me as much. Spots yeah I could easily wire to another switch, but as I have the oem switch in situ and its wired up (previous owner) itd be nice if that was a permanent on so I dont have to press it every time I get in the car but keep that original switch.

Its personal preference I guess.
