Discovery 2 PDC

New to this site, so apologies if I do this all wrong but I have a problem with the PDC on my 2004 D2. It has been intermittently working but in most cases has a continual tone - as if you are very close to something.

Bizarrely, when I remove the offside light cluster in the rear bumper it seems to work (almost) perfectly. If I put the light cluster back there is a continuous tone.

It doesn't matter if the light cluster is plugged in or not.

If I connect the light cluster but leave it hanging behind the bumper it also works fine.

Wiring looks fine.

I've swapped over the sensor with two of the others - still the same. Only the offside position is an issue.

All the sensors click.

I've ordered two new sensors just to see but I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue.
