Before I check the oil pressure and switch how do I know if someone (🤬) has been in the back of the light cluster and messed with the oil light which doesn't come on at all.. what am I looking for and is it obvious.. thanks guys.

First of all connect earth to the sender's plug white/brown wire, if it works the sender is gone, if not insert a needle into the white/brown wire to pin 1 of C0448/0162 and give it earth with a wire... if the lamp comes on the problem is between this plug and the sender, if not it's probably something with the lamp, blanked or faulty unless it's a wiring issue between this plug and the instrument pack but that's hard to troubleshoot if you dont know to work by the diagram.

Thanks for the info I'll see what I can do over the next couple of days and report back sierrafery...

Literally just received a message from the previous owner who confirmed the oil pressure light wiring was trapped and broken when the fitted the clutch.. even so I'll still check things out, thanks again sierrafery..

Cheers Sierrafery. Mines currently off road, but I have recently got the oil light not coming on, on turning the key. Linked the connector brown/white onto earth, and it works. Looks like a sender replacement is yet another to be added to the list of faults to sort out... Simple test...
