discovery 2 imobilizer

My dad was looking at a discovery 2. It Will start if its had the battery disconected and run fine but when you stop it it won't start again. How easy is it to bypass the imobiliser? Any ideas?

It's easy with hawkeye I think you can turn it off, but it needs to be "mobilised".

Don't quote me on this tho cos I may have dreamed it!
