Hey, just picked up my new disco today and noticed the key fob isn't genuine and when I press unlock/lock, it does exactly what it's meant to but the indicator's don't flash, and when I get into the vehicle it beeps for about 5-10 secs, sounds like the headlight left on chime I think. And as far as I can tell I couldn't get the volumetric sensors to activate the alarm.
Is this just a case of super locking thing being disabled, saw something about it on the Hawkeye I think.

But my Hawkeye is stuck with my old truck on a transporter lorry.. which is being held by police ... My luck  hopefully gets moving soon.

Also when in 5th gear there's like a slight whine from somewhere maybe under dash but all drives fine, not sure what that is but I do know every fluid is in desperate need of changing :p

For the hazards there is a setting to be completely disabled on alarm related actions o most likely it' that, as about those chimes explain better, what do youn mean when you get into the vehocle, simply as that you hop in and it chimes(which is quite unlikely) or you turn ignition on?

5 chimes upon the second ignition.

Then it's normal, SLABS self test completion.. read at least the vehicle owner's handbook
I've known of the 3 beeps being a self test, but 5, that's a little excessive, my previous 2 facelifts didn't do it
Thanks for the info though, will get the Hawkeye plugged in when if finally arrives.
