Tried the iCarsoft, not a bad piece of kit, loads of menus etc for each and every module from engine to entertainment centre, but couldn't find anything on it to reset the battery. Looked at the ride height module and the fault code reads 'Pressure increases too slowly when filling reservoir', might be time to visit local LR experts

That normally means compressor is goosed.

Thanks to all of you who posted a reply to my problem, much appreciated. I finally took it to my local specialists and they diagnosed it to be the compressor as suggested correctly by Lynall. £35 to diagnose but waived as I decided to let them do it for me. I thought about doing it myself and then decided I was better served going to work and earning the money to pay for it. My experts told me that there are 2 compressors that have been used by Land Rover and mine being 2009 had the original Hitachi compressor which does tend to fail (125,00 miles). I had the choice of the more expensive compressor and a conversion kit (over £1000) or a direct replacement made by Dunlop, so I went for the Dunlop at £727.
As for the misleading messages, it seems that the various controls on board talk to each other and the fault message from the compressor was affecting other components and the ECU interpreted these as faults.
For anybody near Stroud I can thoroughly recommend these guys at Cotswold Motoring Services, credit where credit is due, genuine Land Rover lovers, honest, helpful and not too expensive. Be aware, they are busy though.
