well just two weeks ago i noticed my disco3 was a bit down on power and a bit smokey. there is only 37,000kms(23k miles) on clock. so off i went to LR Dealer to get plugged in to see what problem was.
The chap said the EGR valves had gone, both of them. so they changed them under warranty, handed back and its been running sweet ever since.
But what im really questioning is why are these EGR Valves so troublesome, and especially on the discovery 3.
Three of my work collegues also have 07 reg'd discovery 3's with the 2.7 TDV6 and the EGR Valves have gone in theres as well at some stage or another.
Now having read up on this and searched the forums here i also understand that they are troublesome in other LR models. But why is this, why cant LR rectify the problem?? Surely if there are models coming back with similar faults that they must recognise a fault in their design?
Dont mean to sound like im going on, but has any one else suffered a similar problem with there Discovery 3?? Just trying to see what peoples take is on this..
