disco2 v8 oil expander ring

hi just fitting new rings in my v8.

is the oil expander ring a tight fit or should it be a loose fit this is a 3 piece ring.

loose untill crushed buy the compressor and the bore.
what block you using guinness? 4.0 cross or a d1 3.9?
