sorry about that the disco has a new altenator on it so its possible they have disturbed the wiring on the back of the alt

Aye the terminal on the wire is probably worn squeeze it a bit tighter with a pair of pliers or ya teeth. that'll probably cure it.

thanks for the advice as you said the terminal was slack i closed it up and bobs your uncle we have a speedo which works.thanks again
