disco windows

hi anybody no how to replace the bottom window runner on a series 1 disco i got the normal windy windows and the bloody thing just droped down took panel of and found a long strip of metal runner and some rubber anyone no how to fix this i need a new bottom piece to hold the glass in regards colin

I do know that the main dealers sell the metal bottom runners you are on about,i had to change 1 once hard work to push on with thr rubber used a lot of grunting and washing up liquid hope this helps. tiga

thanks tigapiglet when i took panel of my heart sank as it looks a right pain in the ass to do ive made secure by blocking the runners with bolts thats the passenger side and the drivers side is about to do the same think that nearly went when i slamed the door ive only just finnished putting a new spring on front axel as mine bust took family out and there you go again more sore knuckles a 2 inch extended spring with a 2 inch shocker is hard work with only a bottle jack and a high-lift and spare tyres under vehicle it was the bit when you have to jump on the axel to get it low enough to sit the spring and shocker and the base plate back in with no spring compressor i got very sore hands now i know what im getting for tool box next my own mechanic ha a spring comprssor cant wait to do the windows not!
