Driving home this evening the red ACE light has come on accompanied with some bongs. He stopped, checked for leaks (there wasn't any), removed the fuse which left the orange light on, put the fuse back in and drove off. As soon as he got to 20mph the red light came back on. He stopped, removed the fuse, then carried on driving just fine the rest of the way home.
We don't have a Nanocom but I would appreciate some advice on possible issues and checks we can carry out.
Also is it safe to drive with the fuse removed until a fix can be carried out? (The handbook says otherwise)

I'm not sure there's much that can be checked without Nanocom or Hawkeye.

Removing relay 14 disables ACE and defaults to locked bars which is fine to drive until it's fixed.
+1 for that ^^^ with the addendum that nanocom is not reliable with the fault code.... foxwell might do the job better and as long as there are no leaks and good fluid activity in the tank you can drive it with R14 removed without fear

Plugged in the Foxwell and there are no fault codes recorded.
Took it for a drive with the fuse and relay back in, after 20mins the red light came back on, still getting no fault codes. Turned the engine off, red light goes off and clears itself when starting engine again, drive it around for a while and no more issues.
All a little annoying that no fault code is recorded. Since it is somewhat wet I wonder if some water is affecting a wire connection somewhere 🤔
If it stops raining, I will check connections and spray some electrical cleaner on them.

Replace or clean the filter, the red light usually has to do with lack of hydraulic pressure for some reason though there should be a fault code anyway unless it's an `ECU misbehaviour
Thanks for the advice.
I have cleaned the filter and removed the fluid from the tank and replaced with new. Going to take it for a drive around after lunch and see if anything happens.
