November 2003 ES model.
Both remotes work fine for front and back doors but first one side passenger and now the other side will not unlock. I removed the door panel and looked for something obvious but found nothing. Sprayed WD40 around but to no avail. Is this a common problem and does anyone out there know the cure? I'd be very grateful for advice. Thank you as I have to reach in and open from the front!

I don't know it it's the same but I have a D1 that has the same issue, I had to use the key for the boot to unlock, it looks as if it's trying (sometimes) but will not unlock, I've found it's a small spring in the locking lech that goes with the D1's, which you can replace, by stripping the thing apart and replacing the spring, I've done the boot at the moment, still got the back doors and passanager, as they are the same, after stripping down I replaced the broken spring, put back together, and works fine now.
The springs cost about £4 each, some people say not to do it and replace the whole lock, I thought for £16 for all the 4 springs that I needs and some time, it was worth the try.

If this seem to be the same issue (and it's the same issuel with the newer version) I can let you have the shop details to get the springs from.

Thanks to you all for your replies.
Sounds like electronic latches then.
They sound expensive!
