Well Its passed its MOT with hardly anything needed to get it through, only major bit was a new steering box due to it leaking. My V8 donated its box for the cause, so all in all the bits cost less than a tenner.

Now that that milestone is passed i can start to look at the other issues on it that are causing 'concern'.

1. It gives off blue smoke, more when cold but still some when warm. Also the crankcase is pressurising and i have cleaned out the breathers. This i think is the piston rings, could it be anything else? I did get an advise on the mot about this.

2. The rear diff is a tad noisy even now it has oil and the diff pan is leaking. Would it be better to find a decent replacement axle, or would it be cheaper to repair? Could my 200 series V8 donate its one?

3. Related to the above, if i grab hold of the prop, there seems to be alot of backlash. IIRC it seemed like a quarter of a turn maybe more. Cant check at the moment as its dark and peeing down. Same on the front.

4. Still have a chiping noise from the engine, increases with revs, which i think is the fanbelt tensioner?

After i have done all that i can start on fitting the new inner wings i bought just in case it failed the MOT on these, paint and fit the rock sliders and steering guard. Modify the grill to fit winch bumper correctly. Add A bar to winch bumper to fit my 8" lights and also fit my roof light bar. And, And, And......:D:D
