Disco II submodels

Hi all. I have just bought a 2002 TD5 and need to know the submodel for the ~!@#$%* insurance company genius's - they are one of Australia's biggest yet call the engine a DT5 and list 11 sub-models - all with different premiums.

I thought it was an S except it has SLS rear suspension with pursuit wheels and the spec sheet I have (1999) says S has steel springs. The spec sheet says pursuit wheels go with the GS but that the GS does not have SLS

Apart from the springs and the pursuit wheels it appears pretty standard although it has the second battery isolater (tho I cant see the second battery so help there would be appreciated as well - personally I doubt it it fitted).

Can anyone point me to a 2002 spec sheet so I know what the heck model I have

My s model has sls and so does the gs

All models with 7 seats have SLS as standard for type approval purposes. So the S model could be still the one you've got. Have a look here for the spec for each model:

The problem, of course is whether the same specs apply to models sold in Australia as here in Blighty. Hope that helps.
