I just bought a td5. I looked at loads. for 2500 you get 1999 with 180k on the clock and rotten chassis my god arnt they all rotting away i looked at a 2004 landmark with a hole in the rear chassis you could put your fist in. And it drove like ****
Mostly you have to buy one on condition of chassis as the prime need then good engine and box with service history and add the extra 300 for a hawkeye. I took my hawkeye with me when looking some had so many fault codes i couldnt read them all

Well it depends what part of the country live in, round my way disco 1 in good nick are fetching 1500 -2000 easy. dealer up the road just sold one for 2500 and it wasnt in as good nick as mine

Fetching 1500-2000 easily?? Please tell us where you live as it must be the land of plenty. Getting anywhere near £1500 for a D1 is good going.

I would also like you to sell my D1 wherever it is you live as its obviously worth twice as much as i reckoned.

I'd have been interested in the turbo myself as it's a planned modification on mine in the future, but at £800 and no prospect of warranty, I'll be very surprised if you got any where near that price for the reason mentioned above.

I'd like to know this to as not many seem interested in my D1 V8 LPG jap import and rust free.

I've had it up at £1500 for a while as I fancy a 90/110 and think the Discovery is to good to ruin.

No one wants a V8 which is the problem, they're **** on fuel

It's not that bad its does about 14mpg with the LPG its nearly livable.

I've focused mine more on the its not a rot box, plus LPG and a fantastic engine noise, its just that bit to nice for me to bash about rescuing, but needs must I use it just with caution ;)
