Disco bits

Hello all,

I am visiting the old homeland in a week or so, so thought i would take this opportunity to stock up on a few bits i need as the shipping costs from the UK are stupid or the purchase cost here is equally stupid.

So does anybody have any of the following they would like to sell me at the lowest cost possible, coz I am tight.


All for a disco one 300tdi
Drivers wing mirror or any wing mirrors i smash em all the time
Brake Callipers in reasonable condition-any corner
Front discs
rear door lock mechanism
rear shocks +2 not really bothered if new or slightly used or on manufacturer tbh
front prop
winch solenoids-working but not bothered about albright and so on, if you have upgraded i will happily take your old ones off you for a reasonable fee
swivel shackle mounts
Diffs front and rear, the more the merrier 24 spline only though


so have a rummage chaps and let me know what you have, i am driving over so have to drive up and down the uk at least once anyway so will collect or i can give you an address to post to in the uk once you have my money.

I have a lot of what you need here:

Front brake calipers that I have refurbed with new pistons and seals and a coat of red paint. I used them on my disco for 3 months before it was broken for spares.
The front discs have a layer of rust but have no wear. Will be like new after use.
I have the rear doors with all the bits you might need.
I have some old +2 rear shocks, a bit rusty but working fine, plenty of pressure and worked well on the truck. I have the springs as well.
I have the front prop. Was told today it might be a wide angle one so I need to check. it looks quite new.
I have the complete front axle with the 24 spline diff.

Doc if you want a bottle of Vodka, Im sure I can do that mate, hell I might even do a full delivery as I want to get up to the lakes whilst Im over anyway, now as for cost-how about a chauffeur driven ride around some easy lanes?

What port are you going via (Im in Harwich)? I have mirrors, indicators and front trims all good on mine (I always use to trash those bits), I have got the props as well (300 front, 200 rear with flange adapter). I am not far from Brian so if you wanted extras, deal with brian first though, I dont want to steal his sales...

I got you pm, I'm just working out a fair price.

I think the front prop might be wide angle and when this rain eases I can get under my current disco to compare.
If it is then I will put it on mine and sell the standard one as I've just done a 2 inch lift.

Jon, Im sailing via Dover both ways, once i have an idea what i need i will be in touch mate, you down/upgraded to a def didnt ya?

Yeah, not sure yet if it's a down or upgrade but it's different! I have got most bits left except bumpers, guards, snorkel and suspension/axles, let me know if there's any bits you want and I can get them removed for you.

is it out already, if so what kind of condition, how much slack in it? ie much backlash? you know all the usual guff

Its on the diff but I can remove it easily enough, there is no engine or gearbox so access is easy.

It seems pretty good condition, I never had any issues with it.

Mark Im going dover upto manchester and beyond so i will be passing, have you got the drivers door mirror housing and glass?

discopol i have a various amount of bits and i am in leicester so i guess you will be using m1 ? i am 5 mins from junction 21 so if you need propshafts, diffs, all trim, mirrors, gear box or what ever let me know as i would be happy to meet you on the m1 services

Guys can i just say this is why i love the zone so much, all the offers are fantastic, i will put together a list of bits needed and see who has what and where you are and when i will be in the locality, i will contact each of you by PM.
