Right.....I am properly stuck now.

I have a brake problem which started with brakes like a brick! Very hard to push on and limited response. Checked the vacuum pump and its was sucking fine. So changed the servo. Now the pedal nearly touches the floor.

Tried/done so far:
  • Bearings
  • checked all the calipers whilst they where off
  • re-fitted the servo just incase
  • bled the brakes (with Eezibleed kit)
  • have checked for any leaks and I can's see any
  • the pads and discs are fine

I'm sure I have missed something off the list but I'm really stumped!

Thanks for any and all help!!

P.S. im supposed to leave for the Lake District today!!!

Just to add it is an ABS model

Easy brake kits are crap imho-sounds like seized calipers possibly if pedal rock hard before trying to bleed it.

Did you also disconnect the master cylinder pipe work when replacing the servo? if so you may now have air in the abs matrix, I believe now the valves in the matrix have to be opened with the aid of a computer (Testbook or similar).
I heard there is also a way to bleed the system with the abs pump running, but I don't have any info on that.

No I left the pipe work attached on the master cylinder. And just carefully pulled it out o get the servo out.

Could it be the master cylinder has gone? What would it do if there was an air leek into it/it stopped working?

Then it sounds that u sill have are still in one of the pipes, I used Eezibleed once and didn't get on with it so went back to the standard method but with a one way valve on the pipe end so still one man bleeding.
A symptom of a faulty master cylinder is the pedal going straight to the floor with little resistance, u may be able to "pump" it back up but u would loose pressure straight away if the seals are really bad and so back down to the floor.

Well when I pump it absolutely nothing happens. It doesn't become stiff it stays exactly the same. I will blew it again the old school method and see if that works.

Right.... I have done another complete bleed the old school way. No air car out whatsoever and I went thought the reservoir twice.

I put a new master cylinder on mine and it took ages to bleed. I had air in the ABS pump and they way I bled that was just to drive it around and stand on the brakes to lock the wheels and activate the abs - that shook the bubbles free and after a re-bleed it was as hard as gary glitter at a.. wait I can't say that...

Well it's still not solved. I replaced the master cylinder and it seems to be a bit better it seems to be loosing pressure between it and the servo. I'm going to try the last 2 suggestions as I have only just got back from the Lake District. (Had to leave the landy behind!)
