Hey all,

I traded in my old Freelander for a series 3 Disco. It doesn't have roof rails but as the wife would like to take her entire wardrobe with her on hols and the dog has the boot space, it's not a bad idea to get roof rails fitted.

What's involved, as I understand from my local (and not entirely helpful) dealership that it's a "factory fit option" which doesn't tell me a lot.

Any help gratefully received...and yes, getting rid of the wife is technically an option, but as she is reading this while I type I suspect that it may get rejected. ;-)

the rails only come standard on the HSE model.
The dearler will charge a lot for fitting. They are simple to fit basically involes removing the metal runners and cutting down and screwing renners on. simple enough

Errr! And I think all the roof lining will have to come out too!
