Disco 3 Auto issues!?!

I am hoping someone can shed some light on an issue I am having with my Disco 3.

I just happened to notice a few weeks back the mpg had dropped slightly, and as I had been doing nothing untoward I thought it strange.

I then noticed she was due her 30k service and mentioned my concerns to the service manager at my local LR Dealer. They serviced her and when I collected her they said tey teste drove it and all was fine, and the fuel issues may have been due to a dirty filter.

I have her back now a week or so and after re-setting she is averaging 27-ish mpg with no exertion. Previously she had averaged 28-29-ish easy. I still think she is staying too long in the gear before top at times, especially when lifting off after acceleration.

Has anyone got any ideas, or advice?? I have loved her till now!

may be the engines just run in. if your complaining about losing 1 mpg then you really have a good car there. maybe your tyres are getting worn and the wheels are having to rotate more to compensate

Not that bothered by the mpg difference (although i love the fact shes doin almost 30mpg!), its just the fact she dosnt sound right, and its doing me friggin head in!

ahh well, ya never said it didn't sound right.
might be worth getting it plugged in for a look see. check all's well
