Hi
I wondered if anyone had any pointers to my discos wiper problem. I believe it feels that keeping the windscreen clear is such an important job because it never lets the wipers stop working. You can set them to slow intermittent and they only go over the screen every so often but they never ever stop which the actual switch turned off.
I originally decided that the switch itself might have a problem where the intermittent is always given a feed but swopping the switch hasn't made any difference. So I just take the fuse out on dry days, works for now but clearly I will need to look further one day soon.
My theory is that I have some form of wiring melt somewhere causing this problem. I say that because one of the horn switches has been glued up and on my previous disco some years ago, when the horn button popped on a hot day, the whole front wiring harness melted and I had to rewire it.
Obviously I would prefer it if someone told me it was a much more simple solution but I know that this is a landrover so I am prepared for the worst.
