Hi

just collected my new disco 2 v8 and drove it back over 150 miles with no issues. Only thing is, when I got it, it was really low on fuel, to the point it felt it nearly cut out when getting into the fuel station.

I fuelled it up and drove it back and the engine management light came on. Car is running fine with no issues at all.

Any ideas? Could it be because it went low on fuel? I have a diagnostic reader coming, but is the carokay to drive locally in the meantime?

Thanks

From the D2s owners handbook
Check engine - The light illuminates as a bulb and system check when the starter switch is turned on, and extinguishes as soon as the engine is started. Illumination at any other time indicates an engine fault - if the light illuminates while driving, avoid high speeds and seek qualified assistance urgently

Thanks for this :) car is running fine, no lumpy idle or lack of power or anything. When the code reader comes I'll see what it's throwing up. Hopefully will be a easy job. Fingers crossed!

Thanks Ryan.
