Disco 2 tyres size

Any 1 know what size m/t i can get under my arches on a 16 in, i'm running stock 255/55/18 at the mo and no good off road
Any advice would be great thanks

Having the same problem with my Disco 2; here and also on other forums the indications are for Disco 1 ;hope that someone will give us a piece of help as I'm ready to fit 245/75/16 but don't want to use the grinder if necesary!

Me too, I want to fit 235/85-16 m/t's on my td5

245/75/16 Kumho KL 71 are OK on a stock Disco2;just fitted them a week ago and no problems at all.

Well i now have 265/75/16s on my 2003 td5 and no probs at all

These won't fit wivout a lift or a bit ov cutting (or both as it turned out when we stuck em on a mates)

I have 235/85/R16s on my 2002 Disco but I have a 2inch lift

Well i have the living proof, and thay do fit on to the standered td5 no probs at all, all are welcome to come and see

What happens at full articulation?

There is no probs at full travel, i've had wheels off the ground. (and got the pic's to prove it)
So all is good with it

That's not quite what I asked. I asked about full articulation which is where one wheel is compressed up against the bump stop and the other is hanging down. The tyre size you are running is likely catching the bodywork at the rear in that situation but if you haven't been anywhere to compress the suspension that far you won't know if you have a problem or not.

No ofence i been doing off roading for 30 years, (started young) i have had it all fully compressed and i have looked and there is no catching or rubbing, i also have air suspension so i can rase it, i'll dig out a pic and post on her so all can see.
